Privacy!
What amount, if any, is left for you as an individual?

Merely mentioning the word privacy can lead to heated debates or can conjure up memories of any number of recent news stories...everything from retail store security breaches (resulting in the theft of 46 million customer records) to stated political positions on the NSA telephone surveillance program.

No doubt, it is a hot topic - and of course I have my own opinions concerning this issue. And obviously I have a great concern about protecting one's identity in order to defend against identity theft (as is evidenced by the creation of this site) -- but this is not my opinion blog, rather it is a place at ITPME that points you to information and resources that allow you to become as informed as possible in order to make your own decisions and take any subsequent action that you deem necessary in your own life.

To make things easy, I have included two sources that I believe offer a broad base of options and a wide range of positions:

First, I have put together a privacy and identity theft education page that lists useful, relevant and entertaining books on the subjects discussed here.

Second, I have also created a privacy protection page that provides links to resources that I have found useful and informative.
